All About Me

Hi my name is Courtney, I'm 11 years old and am the maker of this blog.
My hair colour is blond and my eyes are blue.
My favourite sport is Football and my favourite colour's are purple & green.
The only thing I like about news is the cool and sometimes sad disasters and that's what I'd like to share with you on my blog.
My Favourite pet animal is a rat and I have a pet rat my self, His name is Tyler (he's adorable), my other likes are going to the mall and playing Football and other sports with my friends and family.
Some of the names of my friends are, (BEST) Hannah, Lisa, Shari, Leija, Bridget, and Nicholas.
My favourite school subject is reading and my second is art.
My passion is to be a vet.

Fire Fighters COOL!!!

On Wednesday 20th of October A teacher in our pod asked me (Courtney) and my friend Lisa to welcome some fire fighters to our school.
As Lisa went to help them bring the truck into the gates I helped two fire fighters Andrew and Jim to our class where they showed us, the Anawhata pod to see some movie clips of a candle fire.
We had to answer some questions like Andrew asked us what do you think will happen next and we answered with get low, and get out.
Then Andrew told us a story of a little girl ( Sophie ) an what she did in a fire.
And then Oooh My God!! We got to go see the  Big Red Fire truck it was so awesome!!
We even got to control the fire hose it was so cool its not like you get to do that every day.
When we all sat on the stairs Jim got on the roof of the fire truck and pull up this COOL strong hose kind of looking thing and started to spray the cars and the car park with it.


I think If I had a cool big water filled fire truck like that I'd have an awesome party with the water... Although that may hurt.
The water being like one thousand needles.

First Sleepover At Leijas!!!:"

"Hey" I said sarcastically  "I've never been to your house wouldn't it be cool if we came to your house for a sleepover he he."
"OK""I'll ask my mum" explained leija.
We got ready to go me and Lisa we drove there and I think "yes finally I'm going to Leija's house"
We got there and plopped all our stuff just out of the door way, me sort of nervous at first but just then we ran up stairs and chose some movies made some videos of us dancing and having some effects on the screen
which was so funny. 
we talked played on wii I made an account, first we played table tennis which was my favourite and then some games and then some quite boring other ones that aren't worth talking about.
We ordered dinner ate, and of corse cause were girls we gossiped alot but just about funny things.
A long time later we sat down  to watch the most scaryest movies of all time and leija was so cruel (just a funny ecspresion) to make us stay up and watch it, when we did not want to.
I was so sure it was going to give me a nightmare but luckly enough when we got ready and lay down to bed we all fell asleep in peace after we jumped around a little bit of corse because were so active I wish it could happen again.

Leaving To Early.

I've been at my primary school all my life and its going to be such a big change going from a primary boy and girl school to a intermediate only girls school.
I'm so upset leaving everything behind because all my life I'd wanted to go to Saint Dominic's but now I never want to leave I may even cry at the end of year Assembly.
And I most definitely promise that I'll come back next year and so on and so on because I'll still get to see the people I've left behind.

BANG!BOOM!CRASH!

"Aaahhhh" I screamed as the fire works shot up through the sky it was such an amazing event although it scared the life out of me.
On Sunday me my family and my nan went to the Henderson fireworks show at the Trust Stadium, I saw most of my friends, there names are Leija, Abby & Holly my nan gave me and Holly some money to go play on the rides she said I had to be back before the fireworks.
It began to get dark so I decided it would be A good idea to go back and as soon as I sat down and started to talk Boom!!! The first fireworks shot through the sky and definitely scared my nan and me we almost jumped out of our seats.
There were fireworks of all different shapes and sizes and some were green,gold,purple and so much more as the fireworks started to slow down and finally stopped every one started to moan and just then they all rushed to the door it was a horror show to get out.

OMG Christchurch earthquake

I can't believe it, it's so amazing, even people knowing - should have expected it with the worms coming up(:  When worm's come up out of the ground, it means an earthquake is going too happen because worms feel it first.
An earthquake!  It's so amazing! Especially knowing no one died but two were badly injured.
 It may take a while to repair the church it destroyed but I think it will be ok.  All the after shocks are finished.
So sad how a boy fell out of a Christchurch building lucky he wasn't injured just a few scratches:)
If an earthquake happened in Auckland, my dog would be barking like mad.  We would have lots of time to gather animals and make ourselves safe!
